MAX RICHTER’S SLEEP follows the trailblazing composer and performer as he prepares for an ambitious performance of his landmark eight-hour opus, SLEEP.

Personal reflections from Max Richter and visual archives from Berlin, Sydney, and Paris from his long-term creative collaborator, Yulia Mahr, help build the intimate portrait of their artistic partnership. The film plunges deeply into Richter’s life and process – transcending his work to explore the sumptuous dreamscape of his legacy.
