An all-new live-action feature film about the rebellious early days of one of cinemas most notorious – and notoriously fashionable – villains, Cruella de Vil. (CRUELLA contains several sequences with flashing lights that may affect those who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or have other photosensitivities.)
Sorry, there are no upcoming session times for Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Directors Cut) at Dendy Canberra
After an encounter with U.F.O.s, a line worker feels undeniably drawn to an isolated area in the wilderness where something spectacular is about to happen.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND – DIRECTOR’S CUT is actually the third iteration of the iconic 1977 Steven Spielberg film, this version was released in 1998 and followed on from the 1980 “Special Edition” version that was re-released in cinemas with newly shot big budget scenes added. The Directors Cut is considered a combination of the two previous versions, it features some of the newly shot scenes as well as reintroducing some key scenes that were cut from the Special Edition, as a result it comes in at 5 minutes longer than the Special Edition and 2 minutes longer than the Theatrical Edition. It is a distinctly different film to the previous iterations and is the ones that one Spielberg considers the final version.
