Reel Bubs are screenings that are tailored to meet the needs of parents and carers including dimmed lights (not total darkness) and reduced sound levels.
Everyone is welcome at our Reel Bubs sessions but please note they are designed to make the cinema experience accessible for parents and carers.
Please note that Reel Bubs sessions are available to book on the Tuesday prior to the session. We don’t restrict the age of children attending these sessions but note that only children under 5 receive free admission.
Please note that Reel Bubs don't run on School Holidays.
October 29 – Baby Done
November 5 – Brazen Hussies
Baby, Done follows the story of Zoe (Rose Matafeo), a tree surgeon who becomes pregnant to her long-term boyfriend Tim (Matthew Lewis) and subsequently freaks out.
BRAZEN HUSSIES shows us how a daring and diverse group of women joined forces to defy the status quo, demand equality and create profound social change.
Reel Bubs occurs every Thursday morning. It’s the first session of the day for selected films only.
Tickets are available to purchase before your visit but generally there will be seats available on the morning of the screening.
Tickets to Reel Bubs sessions are $10. Children under 5 are free.
Everyone is welcome at our Reel Bubs sessions. There is no age range and these sessions are designed to make the cinema experience extra-convenient for carers and children. However sessions are open to all public.
The lights are dimmed (never completely dark) and the sound is monitored so that it is not too loud to startle the babies. Parents are free to get up and walk in the aisles or foyer area with baby.
Strollers will be placed in the foyer, as current cinema fire restrictions do not allow the exit doors to be covered. We recommend you bring a baby capsule rather than a stroller.
