Updates regarding COVID-19

    SYDNEY UPDATE - As at 23-Dec-21

    As per the NSW Government mandate:

    • Patrons must check-in using the Service NSW app
    • Face masks are mandatory for all indoor settings
    • Cinemas can operate at 100% seating capacity with ticketed/allocated seating. Patrons will be seated in our regular seating configuration with no physical distancing between seats

    BRISBANE UPDATE – As at 22-Dec-21

    As per QLD Government mandate:

    • Face masks are mandatory for all staff and customers.
    • Cinemas can operate at 100% seating capacity with ticketed/allocated seating. Patrons will be seated in our regular seating configuration with no physical distancing between seats.
    • Patrons must check-in using the QLD Government’s ‘Check in QLD’ app.
    • Anyone aged 16 or over must be fully vaccinated to enter our premises. There are two ways to show proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations in either digital or printed format:
      • COVID-19 digital certificate
      • Immunisation history statement

    CANBERRA UPDATE – As at 21-Dec-21

    As per ACT Government mandate:

    • Mask are mandatory in indoor settings in the ACT.
    • Cinemas can operate at 100% seating capacity. Patrons will be seated in our regular seating configuration with no physical distancing between seats
    • Patrons must check-in using the Check In CBR app

    TERMS OF ENTRY - ALL DENDY LOCATIONS

    We strongly suggest patrons follow the 1.5 metre rule and social distance whilst in the cinema foyer areas.  Please be aware that physical distancing may not be possible at all times within individual cinema auditoriums.

    While we are taking steps to protect the safety and wellbeing of our guests and our staff, COVID-19 is highly contagious and, as with any enclosed space, there is a risk of you being exposed to the disease when you enter the premises. 

    By entering Dendy Cinemas, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily assuming all risks related to your exposure to COVID-19 and that Dendy Cinemas:

    • does not provide any representations or warranties as to the safety of the premises in relation to COVID-19,
    • does not accept any responsibility to you, or any third party, in the event that you or a third party contracts COVID-19 as a result of you entering these premises, and
    • to the extent possible under law, otherwise excludes all liability in relation to your exposure to COVID-19 when on the premises.

      COVIDSAFE APP

      The Australian Government recommends downloading the COVIDSafe app to speed up contacting people exposed to coronavirus (COVID-19).

      SAFETY MEASURES

      To ensure a clean and safe environment for our guests, we're implementing these extra measures in our cinemas:

      • We have installed automatic hand sanitiser stations in our cinemas.
      • We encourage our customers to use cashless payment options in all of our cinemas to reduce contact points. This includes using "tap & go" at the box office and candy bar, or booking online.
      • We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting all high traffic areas and commonly-touched surfaces throughout the day.
