Synopsis: Nominated for an Academy Award, this moving drama is set in the 1890s and tells the story of Father Adolf Daens, a Catholic Priest who strives to improve the miserable working conditions and exploitation of child labour in the factories in Aalst, Belgium. It tells of his struggle to overcome adversity and his choice between two callings, as priest and as champion of the workers. A winner of multiple Awards.
