Filmmaker Joss Whedon takes William Shakespeare’s classic comedy Much Ado About Nothing and gives it a modern spin. Shot in only 12 days, the film showcases a dark but sexy view of the intricate game of love.
Lovstruck Claudio (Fran Kranz) and the lovely Hero (Jillian Morgese) have made plans to marry. Meanwhile, Benedick (Alexis Denisof) and Beatrice (Amy Acker) don't believe in love and continue their long-time rivalry with one another. But many believe that underneath these cynics' "merry war" of insults, or perhaps because of it, the two are meant to be together. Matchmaking schemes are soon put into play, proving once and for all that there is but a fine line between love and loathing.
